    Dental assistant students learn about dental health and healthcare compliance and receive hands-on training in radiography, laboratory procedures, and chairside skills.
    
    Students enrolled in the Associate degree program take general education courses that help develop communication and management skills that aid professional performance.
    
    All students complete a professional externship, as well. The externship provides additional practice and valuable experience that can potentially give them a competitive edge in the job market.

• Limited Scope X-Ray Technician

    The Bryman School of Arizona offers a Limited Scope X-Ray Technician diploma and Associate of Science degree programs that can prepare students to compete for entry-level radiology positions.
    
    Radiology students learn anatomy, x-ray and positioning techniques, and receive hands-on training in back-office and patient care procedures. An externship provides students with valuable real-world experience in a supervised environment. It also prepares them to sit for the Arizona State Examination for Practical Technologist in Radiology after graduating.

• Medical Assistant

  • Do you like the idea of working in a busy medical office as part of a healthcare team?
    
    The diploma and Associate of Science degree in Medical Assistant programs offered at The Bryman School of Arizona provides interested students with the knowledge and skills they need to compete for entry-level positions as clinical, administrative and laboratory medical assistants, and medical receptionists and bookkeepers.
    
    Students receive hands-on training in diagnostic and laboratory techniques. They learn to give injections and perform venipuncture and urinalysis. They study medical terminology; the respiratory and circulatory systems; and how to measure blood pressure, body temperatures, pulse, and respiratory rates. They also learn how to operate electrocardiology (ECG) machinery, read its graphs and provide medical office emergency procedures, such as CPR.
    
    Students are also taught related administrative procedures, including handling correspondence, scheduling appointments and communicating with patients.

• Medical Billing & Coding

  • Jumpstart your healthcare career with medical billing and coding training!
    
    Earning a diploma or Associate of Science degree in Medical Billing & Coding from The Bryman School of Arizona can help graduates compete for entry-level positions in hospitals, medical offices and insurance offices.
    
    Students learn about insurance and legal issues related to medical billing and coding and receive hands-on training in coding practices, medical record documentation, medical office procedures, and healthcare information technology.
    
    The required externship allows students to practice their skills in a professional environment and gain valuable work experience.

• Pharmacy Technician

  • Pharmacy technicians play an important role in pharmacy services by providing clinical and administrative support in pharmacies.
    
    Students can earn a diploma or Associate of Science degree in Pharmacy Technician that prepares them to enter the pharmacy technician field.
    
    Pharmacy tech students learn about cardiovascular and central nervous system pharmacology, intravenous treatments, antibiotics, and chemotherapy. They are trained to prepare IV, compounded, and unit-dosages, and fill prescription orders for review by a registered pharmacist. They also study the work environments of retail and hospital pharmacies and learn administrative procedures, such as inventory control, stocking and ordering.
    
    Students must participate in an externship after they finish their coursework, which gives them the chance to earn valuable work experience and further prepares them to compete for entry-level positions in hospital, long-term care and retail pharmacy settings.

• Surgical Technologist

  • Looking for a challenging career in healthcare?
    
    The diploma and Associate of Science programs in Surgical Technologist at The Bryman School of Arizona can help graduates compete for entry-level surgical support positions in hospitals and surgical centers.
    
    Students learn about the different types of surgery, anatomy and infection control. They get hands-on training in support procedures, such as surgical positioning and identifying and preparing surgical instruments.
    
    An externship gives students the opportunity to practice their skills and earn professional experience. The externship also further prepares students to sit for the National Center for Competency Testing Certification Examination, Tech in Surgery Certified, after they have graduated from the program.
